Measure for Size

When selecting a garment it is important to measure yourself accurately.  To ensure satisfaction, we advise that staff follow our measurement and fitting guides when selecting your outfit. 

Size charts generally show "Half Chest" which is the measurement of the shirt when laying flat. To compare your measurement for size you must double the measurement shown in the size chart.

Length measurements such as sleeve or leg, need to be precise.

MEN

  1. NECK: Men should measure the base of their neck, adding approximately 1cm for comfort.

  2. CHEST: Measure the fullest part of your upper torso as your chest measurement.

    NOTE: For chest and bust measurements, hold the tape measure loosely and release a few centimetres or so to allow for comfort of fit and feedom of movement. With some garments you may need to allow more room - check your current garment for a guide.

  3. SLEEVE: To measure the sleeve length, start from the centre of the back of your neck, measuring across to the top of your shoulder and then down to your wrist.

  4. WAIST: Make sure your trousers are sitting comfortably and measure over the waistband of the trousers.

  5. HIPS: Measure the fullest part of the hips making sure the tape is level.

  6. INSIDE LEG: Measure up from the top of the heel of the shoe to the crotch.

    JACKET MEASUREMENT - These measurements are also required: It is easier to put on a jacket that fits well for this, or use part (b) of the instructions.

  7. ACROSS BACK: Measure across the back of the jacket to the points of the shoulders. (b) Do the same, measuring to the outside extremities of the points of the shoulders and add a couple of centimetres.

  8. BACK LENGTH: Measure from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the jacket. (b) Measure from the bony protrusion at the back of the base of the neck, straight down the middle of the back, to the level of the knuckles of both hands (resting at the side of the body).

WOMEN

  1. Women MeasurementSLEEVE: To measure the sleeve length, start from the centre of the back of your neck, measuring across to the top of your shoulder and then down to your wrist.

  2. BUST: Women should measure the fullest part of the bust, adding allowance for comfort.

    NOTE: For chest and bust measurements, hold the tape measure loosely and release a few centimetres or so to allow for comfort of fit and feedom of movement. With some garments you may need to allow more room - check your current garment for a guide.

  3. WAIST: Measure the waist at the smallest part of your torso.

  4. HIPS: Measure around the fullest part of your hips to provide a comfortable fit.

  5. INSIDE LEG: Measure up from the top of the heel of the shoe to the crotch.
